Sanford’s Paw Park will be closed from Wednesday, April 1st until Friday April 3rd to allow for treatment due to Tussock caterpillar treatment and control.
Located at 427 S. French Avenue, this park is beloved by pet owners in the city. In order to make sure that the park remains safe for our furry friends, the City will be using all-natural remedies.
Usually appearing around Oak Trees in Spring, tussock caterpillars can cause skin irritation for humans however, they are much more dangerous for dogs.
Paw Park is expected to reopen on Friday, April 3rd in the afternoon once treatment activities are complete and the area is ready for use. Should that change, we will provide an update.
