The City of Sanford offers a variety of utility bill payment options for your convenience.
IF YOUR BILL IS PAST DUE OR YOUR ACCOUNT IS TERMINATED, YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE PAYMENT IN THE OFFICE OR OVER THE PHONE WITH A LIVE REPRESENTATIVE. IF YOUR WATER HAS BEEN TURNED OFF, YOU WILL NEED TO PAY A RECONNECTION FEE BEFORE SERVICE IS TURNED BACK ON.

You can pay over the phone by calling 1.800.830.9098 (Credit Cards Only).
Please have your account number available and follow the automated prompts.
The City of Sanford offers 2 ways to pay your Utility Bill Online:
X-Press Pay   (offers quick one time payments)
Click2Gov  (Offers one time payments, as well as access to your account and billing history online and reoccurring online payment options)
DO NOT use these payment methods if:
- Your Service is past due or disconnected
- You want to pay a deposit or application Fee (this site is not designed to accept this type of payment)
There are no fees associated with this service. Online payments update next business day.
 In order to pay your bill online using Click2Gov or Xpress-Pay you will need the following information:  Â
- Account Number
- Customer last name
- Credit Card or Debit card
NOTE: Payments made online will be posted to your account on the next business day. We do not process payments on weekends or holidays. Payments received during this time-frame will be processed on the next business day.

You may pay your utility Bill at any Amscot or Wal-Mart location; you will need a copy of your utility bill, and a payment method of either cash or a pin-base debit card. Wal-Mart charges a Standard payment fee of $1.00 for delivery
within 3 business days or $1.50 for next day service delivery. Amscot charges $1.50 convenience fee for next day service delivery.
Payments are posted within 1to 5 business days.
You may drop your payments in the Payment drop box (no cash). Drop box is located in City hall parking lot, in front of main entrance.
