Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) provides the nation’s most reliable electric service for our customers, and as part of that service FPL arranged for planned tree and vegetation maintenance in your area in the coming weeks. This work will be performed by FPL’s qualified line-clearing contractor, Asplundh Tree Expert.
Please see the attached general boundary map of the area(s) where our experienced and trained contractors will be working. For neighborhood trimming, residents will be notified in advance of any associated work occurring on their properties.
Trees and vegetation are a leading cause of outages especially during hurricanes and severe weather. The City of Sanford and Seminole County can help by requiring proper planting setbacks from power lines and following our Right Tree, Right Place planting guidelines.
At FPL, safety is a cornerstone of our commitment to our customers and employees. Please stay far away from power lines at all times. Only a specially trained and qualified line-clearing professional should trim trees or vegetation near power lines or on poles.
