The Georgetown Community Garden

The Sanford Cultural Guild, in partnership with Historic Hopper Academy and the City of Sanford’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Neighborhood Revitalization Program, invited the community to attend the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Georgetown Community Garden at Historic Hopper Academy.
The Georgetown Community Garden transformed space at the historic Hopper Academy into a place for wellness, sustainability, and community connection. Designed with raised garden beds and shared tools, the garden supports residents of all ages and abilities while honoring the site’s historical significance and aiding neighborhood revitalization efforts.
