Governor Ron DeSantis has announced his intent to sign into law new legislation that prohibits local governments from adding fluoride to public drinking water systems. In preparation for this change, the City of Sanford is taking proactive steps to align with the anticipated law.
Effective June 7, 2025, the City will no longer add fluoride to the municipal water supply. This decision follows the directive to halt the purchase of additional fluoride in anticipation of the new legislation.
