NOTICE OF FUNDING AVAILABILITY AND SOLICITATION OF PUBLIC SERVICE PROPOSALS CITY OF SANFORD COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) PROGRAM
On October 1, 2023, the City of Sanford expects to receive funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for activities that benefit low and moderate income families or persons. The City of Sanford is accepting proposals for public services projects to help meet the needs identified in the 2020-2024 Five-Year Consolidated Plan.
In order to address these needs, $526,606.00 in federal HUD funding has been allocated to the City of Sanford for the 2023-2024 Program Year. At this time, the City of Sanford is accepting applications for the following activity:

- Grants are open to 501(c) nonprofit organizations
- Other public agencies (serving City of Sanford residents only)
- For-profits and individuals are not eligible

A mandatory Public Services Technical Assistance Meeting will be held on, Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 9:00 am – 10:00 am and on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm, in the City of Sanford’s Commission Chamber, located on the first floor, at 300 N Park Avenue, Sanford, FL 32771. The purpose of the meeting is to provide information on HUD requirements, National Objectives and beneficiary eligibility for the Public Services program. A copy of the City of Sanford CDBG 2020-2024 Five-Year Consolidated Plan is available on the City of Sanford website. The DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS IS 4:00PM Wednesday, May 10, 2023.
