Join the City of Sanford for the opening of our Employee Art Gallery this April 2025! The gallery, located in the Utility Department hallway at City Hall, offers a prime location for public viewing during City Hall’s operating hours. The exhibit will be on display through Summer 2025.
This new exhibit showcases the creative talents of various city employees, including Pete Wilson, a professional photographer based in Sanford and a proud member of our team.
Pete shares his passion for photography:
“My love for photography comes from my deep appreciation for people. I’ve always been drawn to capturing raw, authentic emotions rather than posed or staged moments. Photography runs in my family—my grandfather worked with Kodak, passing down this legacy to my uncle, cousin, and ultimately my brother, who became my mentor.
I approach every session with a focus on what you envision, not just what I think you should have. I believe every photo should reflect my clients’ unique personality and vision. For me, photography is not just a job—it’s something I genuinely love. I strive to let that passion shine through in every image I create.
