Street Sweeping

The City has two active street sweepers that make up the street sweeping program. The two sweepers collectively have four zones, with streets north of 25th Street being swept on the 1st and 3rd week of the month, and streets south of 25th Street being swept on the 2nd and 4th weeks of the month.

Not all roads within the highlighted areas are swept. For example, roads within a private community (HOA), roads without curbs and gutters, and roads not maintained by the City are not swept. Roads that are swept are marked in red. The return time to any specific location is approximately two weeks subject to the season. When there is heavy leaf and acorn fall late in the year, the sweepers have to make multiple disposal trips to empty, which slows down the progression through their zones. Other circumstances such as inclement weather can also change the timing of the routes.
