5th Annual Ondraneika Williams Lupus Awareness Walk

The Ondranieka Williams Lupus Foundation, Inc., will host the 5th Annual Ondraneika Williams Lupus Awareness Walk, followed by a picnic, from 8 am – 3 pm, on Saturday, May 10, 2025, in Coastline Park. This event is in remembrance of Ondranieka Williams, a Sanford resident, and will occur in May, which is the national Lupus Awareness Month. 

The Foundation’s goal is to provide awareness, education, and resources for those suffering with this disease, focusing on early detection of the disease in young people.  The event will feature a Lupus Awareness Walk along the sidewalks through Historic Goldsboro, beginning and ending at Coastline Park and along 9th Street, French Avenue, Historic Goldsboro Boulevard, Olive Avenue, 12th Street, Pecan Avenue, 10th Street, and Polar Avenue. 

The Walk will be followed by a community picnic event in Coastline Park with guest speakers, vendors providing services for lupus, a DJ, bounce house and snacks for the kids.
