Happy 200th Birthday, Henry Sanford!Â
On Saturday, June 10. 2023, the Sanford Museum will celebrate the 200th birthday of its town founder, Henry Shelton Sanford, with a special event that makes known his contributions to not only Sanford’s local history, but Henry Sanford’s influence on the world stage. The event will take place from 10 AM until 4 PM at the Sanford Museum located at 520 East First Street, Sanford, FL, 32771. Â
This event will include several activities for visitors to enjoy, including guided tours of the museum’s collection of artifacts and exhibits related to Sanford’s life and legacy. There will also be various activities for children of all ages to participate in, such as decorating top hats, racing boats, and writing coded birthday cards. At 1 PM there will be a presentation by the museum’s curator, Brigitte Stephenson, on the life of Henry Shelton Sanford.Â
