BATTLE AT CAMP MONROE – LIVING HISTORY DAY!

Join this outdoor commemoration that takes attendees back in time to the battle that began settlement of Lake Monroe on Friday, February 6, and Saturday, February 7.
 
On Friday, February 6, schools are invited to take advantage of this engaging retelling of historical events by reserving a time slot and rotating through the encampment, exploring different aspects of Florida’s wartime frontier.
 
On Saturday, February 7, members of the public can join in the fun and tour the camps of U.S. soldiers and Seminoles, talk with living historians, and learn more about the costliest war in U.S. history. A battle reenactment will take place at 2 p.m.
 
📆School Day: Friday, February 6, 9 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
📆Public Day: Saturday, February 7, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.; Battle reenactment at 2 p.m.
