The updating of the City’s Strategic Plan provided a unique opportunity. It allowed City leadership to reflect on who we are as an organization and how we are seen by the Community we serve.
City of Sanford Values: Values provide the basic principles for an organization and set the groundwork for their actions and decisions. Sanford employees have operated with core values for decades, but it was considered an important element to the new strategic plan to revamp these values in a memorable and current way.
City of Sanford staff and stakeholders identified the fundamental principles that guide the City in decision making, employee decisions, and ultimately shape the internal culture. The City strives to be Community Focused, Accountable, Resilient, and Enviromentally Responsible in all aspects of the services provided. The City and it’s employees always want to show they C.A.R.E about Sanford.
