Thomas J. George, Interim City Manager

Mr. George has over 33 years of experience in the Transportation field while working for the State of Florida, Department of Transportation, Seminole County Road Operations and most recently, the City of Sanford. While with Seminole County he was nominated for Seminole County’s Manager of the Year Award for three consecutive years (1997-1999), receiving the award in 1998. Mr. George is an active member of various organizations, the APWA, Florida Association of County Engineers and Road Superintendents, International Municipal Signal Association and the Sheriff Departments Citizen Advisory Council.

Kristi Aday

Kristi Aday, Deputy City Manager

Kristi Aday is a graduate of Texas Tech University, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Masters Degree in Public Administration. Prior to her appointment as Deputy City Manager, she was employed by The Woodlands Community Service Corporation in The Woodlands, Texas serving in the positions of Management Analyst, Deputy Fire Chief and most recently as the Director of Community Services. She also served as a Management Assistant in the City Manager's Office of the City of Dallas, Texas. Ms Aday is a member of the International City-County Management Association and volunteers with the American Heart Association.

Bob Tunis

Bob Tunis, Economic Development Director

Mr. Tunis is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal. He has served as an Economic Development executive for the Province of Alberta, Canada; Lincoln County, Montana and the City of North Port, Florida. He is a member if the International Economic Development Council and the Florida Economic Development Council. He has been Economic Development Director since 2006.

To provide the citizens of Sanford with efficient and effective services that meet their needs and to deliver them in a friendly and courteous manner. To manage and direct all activities of City government in a manner consistent with the City Charter, Code of Ordinances, and as directed by the Board of Commissioners.
